Symes Associates is a North Shore multifaceted real estate development & property management company looking to hire an Assistant Controller to join our team.
The ideal candidate has 5
years of accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities include:
Balance sheet reconciliations and related supporting work papers, including accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities and accounts payable.
Manage coordination with outside tax accountants for tax returns for the company Reconcile bank statements, enter cash journal activity into the general ledger Daily cash management Maintain accrual schedules for balance sheet items Maintain depreciation schedules Assist in the creation of senior management reports Job cost preparation and reconciliation.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
Prepare month-end reporting packages for upper management Other duties as assigned Key Requirements/
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree 5
years relevant accounting experience (exposure to A/P, A/R, GL & month-end close) Experience with development accounting Proficiency with MS Office and experience with accounting software Detail oriented and accurate Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information Takes initiative High-level of resourcefulness and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations.
Strong written and oral communication skills Experience in consolidating data and effectively presenting data in a team environment, with all levels of management Salary Range $90,000 to $105,000 - Compensation commensurate with experience Please send resume with cover letter and salary requirement.
